2015 "Hoppe Kelly" Syrah

This Syrah reads like another film title "Long Day's Journey Into the Night"

Rolling over the vast plains of agriculture in our Central Valley, through the craziness that is Oakland and Berkeley onto the Richmond-San Rafael bridge where toll booth trolls - like a Chinese bookie - only accept cash! After that confusion onto the 101 into beautiful Marin county and Hoppe Kelly vineyard in Russian River Valley.

Load the grapes being picked in front of us and reverse the trip back to our winery facility in Santa Clarita, outside Los Angeles.

That's a long trip. But worth it because of the great Syrah we make out of this vineyard. Style is in between cool and warm climate Syrah with both the cool acidity & nuances plus the fruit forwardness from the heat.
